JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Are you a strategic financial leader ready to make an impact? Our Tokyo team is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to oversee and manage corporate and fund/asset-related finance functions.

In this role, you will lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring excellence in investor and lender reporting, performance measurement, business forecasting, and financial analysis. You’ll collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including investment, legal, tax, and finance teams, to drive financial strategy and operational success.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models, providing key insights to senior leadership.
  • Oversee corporate finance operations, including cash management and financial planning.
  • Lead the preparation of financial and operational reports for senior management.
  • Manage investor due diligence by compiling data, conducting analyses, and coordinating materials.
  • Prepare presentation books, materials and agendas for Board of Director meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with lender covenants by monitoring reporting systems and collaborating with external partners.
  • Drive financial projects and reporting initiatives, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead a small finance team and oversee external fund administrators and tax professionals for accurate and timely reporting.

To be successful in this role, you should have skills including:

  • Tertiary qualifications within accounting, business, finance or related
  • Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager gained within property accounting, experience with residential and BTR assets advantageous
  • Attention to detail with excellent financial acumen, proficient with analysis, forecasting and budgeting and ability to provide market commentary
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
