JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Student Operations Intern, you will support the full lifecycle of a Greystar student community. This role blends on-site resident hospitality with operational and commercial management, focusing on the unique needs of the student demographic and the critical Summer period.

Please note that this is a 10-week internship during June and August.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full Lifecycle Support: Own the administrative journey from initial enquiry and room viewings to contract signing, guarantor verification, and the high-intensity  "Summer Turn" periods.
  • Front-of-House Query Management: Act as the first point of contact for all resident enquiries, resolving issues ranging from parcel collection and maintenance requests to account queries with speed and empathy.
  • Leasing & Compliance Admin: Maintain accurate resident records within property management systems ensuring all tenancy documentation and right-to-rent checks meet  compliance standards.
  • Summer Short-Stay Operations: Support the transition to short-term tenancies during the summer months, managing high-frequency check-ins for interns and summer school groups to maximize asset occupancy.
  • Head Office Operational Support: Bridge the gap between site and Head Office by assisting the Operations team with portfolio-wide data entry, occupancy reporting, and process improvement projects.
  • Operational & Financial Admin: Support lease processing, guarantor verification, and rent collection. Gain exposure to reporting, financial and compliance standards (Maintenance/Facilities/Health & Safety) to ensure asset protection.

About You

  • The Student Expert: Currently enrolled in a degree (Real Estate, Hospitality, or Business) with an interest in the Living sector.
  • Agile Communicator: Comfortable pivoting from supporting a student to presenting data to an Operations Manager
  • Tech-Fluent: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel is essential) and ready to learn specialised platforms like Yardi or Entrata
