JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This role supports onsite team members and our Affordable Operations team by resolving operational gaps, improving communication, and reducing escalations. The Regional Associate acts as a liaison between Centralized Certifications and property teams to ensure smooth internal operations and consistent compliance with affordable housing program requirements. This is an internal-facing role focused on training support, team member engagement, and operational excellence.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Seattle Affordable Housing (MFTE, MHA, IZ, etc.) Experience Required.

• Serves as a primary point of contact for site teams regarding affordable-related questions, documentation support, and internal process troubleshooting. This role does not typically interact directly with applicants or residents.

• Engages in strategy-driven and problem-solving communication with Regional Property Managers (RPMs) and Directors, with oversight provided by the Affordable Housing Manager.

• Facilitates kickoff meetings and training support sessions for newly onboarded Centralized Certifications properties.

• Assists the Affordable Housing Manager with new hire onboarding training for Affordable Housing Coordinators and Affordable Housing Portfolio Administrators.

• Collaborates with Affordable Housing Coordinators, Affordable Housing Portfolio Administrators, and property teams to resolve escalations and bridge knowledge gaps.

• Reviews and monitors income limits, rent limits, and utility estimates; supports site teams in understanding and applying these standards.

• Provides training support (in person site visits, as needed) and guidance to onsite team members on affordable housing procedures and documentation best practices, focusing on the site teams’ responsibilities in relation to Centralized Certifications.

• Tracks and analyzes common issues or bottlenecks in certification workflows and recommends process improvements.

• Supports appeals and eligibility reviews in coordination with Affordable Housing Portfolio Administrators and the Seattle Office of Housing (SOH).

• Maintains accurate records of internal & external interactions, resolutions, and compliance communications.

• Coordinates and communicates with the Seattle Office of Housing (SOH) and our third-party compliance vendor RealPage Compliance Services (RPCS).

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in affordable housing operations, property management, and team member training & engagement support.

• Assistant Community Manager and/or Community Manager experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of Seattle affordable housing programs and compliance requirements (e.g., MFTE, MHA, IZ).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive team member interactions with empathy and professionalism.

• Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite, Entrata) and document management systems.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up & problem-solving skills.

• Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively.

The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $85,000.00

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
