JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a 12-month parental leave contract, leading the financial operations and property accounting function across Greystar’s Australian portfolio.

This role offers the opportunity to step into a high-impact position, working closely with senior leadership while managing financial reporting, accounting operations and process improvements across a growing property platform

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Overseeing property accounting operations across the Australian portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end processes.

  • Leading and coordinating offshore accounting teams, ensuring timely delivery of reporting, tenant billing, vendor payments and financial controls.

  • Managing budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support property performance and portfolio decision-making.

  • Driving process improvements and best-practice accounting standards, ensuring compliance with AASB, IFRS and internal controls.

About You:

You’re a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in fast-moving environments where you can combine technical accounting expertise with operational leadership.

You’re comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and enjoy improving processes, driving efficiency and ensuring financial accuracy across complex property portfolios.

This role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading teams and partnering with the business to deliver strong financial outcomes.

What you will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification with a degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in property accounting, ideally within real estate, funds management, REITs or property investment environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AASB, IFRS and Australian GST, with the ability to oversee complex financial reporting processes.

Experience working with Yardi or similar property systems and managing offshore or shared-service accounting teams will be highly regarded.
