JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Analyst, Revenue Management Business Analytics accesses revenue management and business data from multiple sources, and compiles, analyzes, and generates standard and custom revenue management reports, case studies, and market and performance trends to support the ongoing operation and administration of the Revenue Management function. The position assists in accessing revenue management and other database platforms to track the Revenue Management function’s performance on established key performance indicators, and provides real estate operations leaders, new business development, and other stakeholders with supporting narratives, graphics, case studies, and other analytics to enable data-driven response strategies and decision-making.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist in creating, developing, and distributing the standard and custom Revenue Management function’s reporting capabilities by accessing, compiling, and analyzing data from multiple platforms and sources and generating compelling reporting packages, case studies, graphics, market, and performance trends.
  • Access data from multiple platforms and databases to track the function’s performance on established key performance indicators, and provide real estate operations leaders, new business development teams, and leaders within the Revenue Management function with reporting and narratives that enable effective response strategies, decision-making, and improved revenue management systems performance.
  • Create and distribute all of the Revenue Management function’s monthly regular and standard reporting, recommend changes and additions to the reporting package to enhance reporting capabilities and improve support to the business, and participate in financial and performance review calls as required to support stakeholder decision-making. 
  • Assist in executing and completing tasks and activities associated with the reconciliation of revenue management vendor invoices and the preparation and distribution of monthly property and client billing. 
  • Generate and disseminate profitability reports by product type and Region, respond to reporting questions and information requests from clients and real estate operations leaders, and engage with Revenue Management leaders as needed to track, manage, and respond to changes that may impact achievement of targeted revenue and profitability goals.
  • Look for opportunities to improve or enhance the services and customer support experience provided by the Revenue Management function, suggest or recommend innovations and new technologies in the discipline, make recommendations for streamlining processes, reducing costs, and driving efficiencies, and participate in and support projects, initiatives, and other efforts owned by the Revenue Management function.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in real estate property management operations, technology and systems, data analytics, general business, or a related field. A working knowledge of multifamily property management operations and fundamental knowledge of data management systems, such as Power BI, and revenue management technologies and systems is helpful.
  • Proven success and experience in using advanced functions of Excel, such as pivot tables, and some knowledge and experience in using key functions within business analytics platforms, such as Power Query, Xlookup, IFS, DAX, and Pagnaed Report Builder.
  • Solid ability to access, analyze, and make objective interpretations of market and economic data, and create compelling reporting packages, graphic interpretations and illustrations, narratives, case studies and white papers, and other supporting documents for tracking financial and operational performance and enabling sales and business development strategies and practices.
  • Good process management skills and ability to track, manage, and complete multiple activities, tasks, and processes according to specified timelines, legal standards, and defined outcomes. Planning and organizing skills are essential, and ability to manage several priorities simultaneously is critical.
  • Skilled in managing personal productivity, meeting deadlines, and coping and managing through quickly changing priorities and environments. Demonstrated proficiency in solving problems, thinking strategically and creatively, and resolving conflicts is required.
  • Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer-centric orientation. Able to build and maintain productive relationships with real estate operations leaders and client services and new business development professions, and experience in interacting with external clients and vendors and suppliers is preferred.
  • Skilled and comfortable in using digital and online software and apps to accomplish work, manage and organize time, and communicate, including the ability to use Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS, email, and virtual meeting software. Ability to quickly learn how to use the Company’s various data management platforms and other systems that support new business development, such as Salesforce.

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
